The 14 en suite, non-smoking bedrooms are simply furnished in a soothing palette of coffee and creams, with walnut furniture, huge beds, white fluffy duvets and bright canvases. As parents themselves, the owners understand family needs and offer great facilities, many thoughtful little touches for younger guests and their own healthy menu - making it a firm favourite for the whole family .

The Priory Inn restaurant has won many awards for its modern rustic food, local menus and professional service: Harden's Remy Restaurant Award; Cotswold Life Food and Drink Awards; and Taste of The West Awards. Each table tells a monthly tale about the produce currently in season and the suppliers that have contributed to the local menus and drinks.

The Priory Inn is committed to its "30 Mile Food Zone" which means that around 90% of the food that you enjoy there is from within a 30-mile radius of Tetbury. The wood-fired oven turns out delicious pizzas the likes of which you will have only tasted in Italy (with a Cotswold twist!) and delicious home-baked breads.

So relax around the enormous central log fire and enjoy the very best that the region has to offer. If you enjoy kicking back and listening to live music, go along any Sunday night from 8.00 p.m. for semi-acoustic singer/songwriters and an exceedingly chilled-out atmosphere!

Christmas and New Year at The Priory Inn

We believe Christmas should be a beautifully simple, yet deliciously cosy affair!

Of course it is a special time for the family and at The Priory Inn, you will be in a true home-from-home environment. A classic Christmas lunch menu (with plenty of twists) will be served on Christmas Day featuring food from within our "30 Mile Zone" and the very best free range turkeys that Gloucestershire has to offer.

Our real Christmas trees - hand-selected from the Charlton Park Estate - take pride of place with twinkling lights, and Father Christmas will undoubtedly leave a gift under the tree for our younger guests. Please book early for lunch so that we can make your day - around our massive log fire - extra special this year.

The hotel is open throughout the Christmas holidays and we charge normal weekend rates over the peak period, so please call for availability. On Christmas night we have a limited service as we treat our staff to a well-deserved feast, but everything else runs as normal.

We also have a lip-smacking Christmas party menu if you wish to pull a cracker or two and get festive with your colleagues or a group of friends. You can hold a Christmas party with us any time through the festive period and into January 2013. Or if you would prefer to join our dedicated party nights on Thursday 13th or 20th December, then you can book small or large tables and enjoy the best atmosphere in town with dancing and decorations alongside our delicious menu. If you are lucky enough to be visiting the garden at Highgrove this year, come and taste the local flavours of the Cotswold countryside at our Tetbury restaurant before or after your visit. Having catered for many Highgrove groups, we understand that the timing of your day is crucial - as is easy parking - so contact us to reserve tables for your lunch party in advance. We are happy to accept pre-orders from either our a la carte Highgrove lunch menu or our two-course fixed Highgrove lunch menu, both of which feature The Prince's Duchy Home Farm produce - making us the best possible restaurant in Tetbury for a truly local lunch!
