Nestled in a tranquil, rural setting, just a few miles west of Tetbury, the Royal Oak in Leighterton is surrounded by rolling countryside and picturesque Cotswold villages. Badminton, Highgrove House, Westonbirt Arboretum and the Cotswold Way are all within a stone's throw, while Bristol, Bath and Cheltenham are just a short drive away.
Recent renovations saw the beautiful Grade II listed building stripped back and carefully restored, ensuring it stayed faithful to its origins. The result is a bright contemporary space giving a nod to the rustic with restored antiques and original features.
With a true Cotswold village inn atmosphere, the Royal Oak offers roaring log fires in winter, and a pretty walled garden for outdoor dining in summer.
The Royal Oak's philosophy on food is classic dishes with an emphasis on simplicity, using seasonal, local ingredients wherever possible. From casual bar meals like beefburgers and seasonal pies to the full a la carte menu, every dish is home-made and cooked to order. Our aim is to provide a 'best in class' restaurant in Tetbury.
As the hub of the local village community, the Royal Oak has the right drinks for every occasion: local and special guest ales, as well as an eclectic wine menu. Celebrate with a bottle of bubbly, chat over a cup of espresso coffee, savour a brandy by the roaring fire, or sip Pimms in the sunshine. Whatever the weather and whatever your tipple, you'll find what you're looking for at the Royal Oak.

The Potting Shed Pub is a top Cotswold dining pub situated in the triangle of Tetbury, Malmesbury, and Cirencester. We aim to provide great British seasonal food, well kept beers on tap, a concise and interesting wine list, and a fun and convivial atmosphere: the proper pub experience. Our menu changes monthly to reflect the best of seasonal produce, which is locally sourced where possible and, in many cases, grown in our two-acre vegetable patch at the rear of the pub. We also offer a rotating selection of truly home-made, creative cocktails using seasonal, local fruit. Our private dining room, The Hide, overlooks our garden and seats parties of up to fourteen. It is the perfect place for a family gathering or fun dinner with friends and colleagues. For larger groups, we can make the "barn" section of our pub available, with its beamed ceilings and distinctive wheelbarrow light fixtures.
