Didmarton Bluegrass Festival - 1st September - 3rd September

This event is held at Cotswold Airport (Kemble)GL7 6BQ. The festival will include Bands (inc USA), food and drink, late night bonfires, dancing, workshops, picking sessions, market and open stage. Beating of the Bounds - Tetbury - 2nd September

Dr Natasha Loges is Head of Postgraduate Programmes at the Royal College of Music. In this talk she will explain the fascinating ways in which Schubert's handing of music and poetry provided a model for Schumann's beloved song-cycle Dishterliebe. Tetbury Music Festival Lecture Prof. Iain Fenlon - 30th September

Prof: Fenlon is Professor of Historical Musicology in the Faculty of Music and a Fellow of King's College. His talk will bring to life the extravagant city of Venice in the Renaissance and particularly the way in which new forms of music expressed the mood of the time.
